Gas Leaf Blower and Mower Bans by State

Cities and states are increasingly restricting gas-powered leaf blowers and mowers over noise and air pollution. We track 104 jurisdictions with active or pending restrictions, drawn from 1,171 municipalities surveyed across 12 states.

9 of the 12 states we cover have at least one local restriction on the books. Each state page lists the specific towns and counties, what is restricted, when it took effect, penalties, and a link to the ordinance.
